What is Hemp Flower?

CBD flower, or hemp flower, is the harvested “bud” of hemp, which is a classification of cannabis that contains less than 0.3% Δ9-THC.

While hemp generally contains very low concentrations of THC, it is an abundant source of cannabinoids and terpenes like CBD and CBG.

Ways to Use Hemp Flower

As a natural, unprocessed form of hemp, hemp flower offers a range of advantages and can be used in a variety of ways. Here are just a few of the most common ways to use hemp flower:

  • Smoking: Grind up the hemp buds and smoke it by dropping it in a bowl or rolling it up in a joint.
  • DIY Medicinals: Try creating your own homemade remedies, such as CBD topicals, DIY hemp oils, and hemp CBD flower salves
  • Cooking: Try cooking up DIY edibles: Hemp flower can be incorporated into recipes to create some delicious concoctions

Is Hemp Flower Legal in the US?

Under the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (or the “2o18 Farm Bill”) hemp and its derived products were federally legalized and officially de-classified as a controlled substance.

This was a huge moment for the cannabis industry; however, it did come with one caveat. In order to be classified as “hemp” or a “hemp-derived product,” the subject in question can contain no more than 0.3% Δ9-THC content.

Since hemp flower is, after all, a hemp-derived product that contains less than 0.3% Δ9-THC content, it is federally legal in the US.

Please be advised that certain states have specific laws that regulate cannabis and/or hemp. Because of this, it is very important to research the laws and regulations in your state or region in order to avoid complications.

Will Hemp Flower Get You High?

THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol, is the predominant cannabinoid found in cannabis and is the primary source of its intoxicating properties.

This is the primary reason THC is illegal and cannot be found in amounts exceeding 0.3% within hemp products (if a “hemp” product contained more than 0.3% Δ9-THC, it would actually be classified as a cannabis product).

With that being said, hemp flower should not contain more than 0.3% Δ9-THC content and should not get you high. However, it’s important to note that not all hemp flower is the same, which is why it is crucial to only purchase hemp flower that is sold by a trusted company and is lab-tested by a certified, third-party lab.

At TIMBR Organics, we take quality seriously. Our hemp flower products are produced from the finest hemp buds and are rigorously tested by a certified, third-party lab to confirm that they contain less than 0.3% Δ9-THC.

Our CBD-rich hemp flower is available in a variety of popular hemp strains including Hawaiian Haze, Sour Space Candy, Lifter, and more.
