TIMBR Organics hemp cigarettes offer a simple, convenient, and enjoyable way to incorporate full spectrum CBD into your lifestyle.
Made from only the highest quality hemp plants, our premium hemp smokes are crafted to deliver a smooth, rich experience that’s unsurpassed by any other option on the market. In fact, our hemp smokes have been called the “best CBD cigarettes” by our customers, which really just makes our day!
Unlike a traditional “joint”, cbd hemp cigarettes or CBD cigarettes are not made with marijuana. Instead, they are made with flower from hemp–a classification of cannabis strains that contain less than 0.3% Δ9-THC
While hemp contains a low concentration of THC, it is rich in other, powerful cannabis compounds like CBD, terpenes, and more.
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound produced in cannabis. CBD is non-intoxicating, which means it will not induce mind-altering effects on the user. Research has shown that CBD helps to regulate various functions in the body by interacting with receptors throughout the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS).
What are the Advantages of Hemp Cigarettes?
With so many different ways to get CBD into your system, from topicals to oral tinctures, you’re probably wondering if there are any actual benefits of smoking hemp. Indeed, a few benefits exist, which is why you’re seeing more CBD cigarettes and other smokables on the market.
Smoking Can Deliver Increased Bioavailability of CBD
Bioavailability is a big deal when speaking of everything from medications to supplements. This refers to how much of a substance is actually available for use once it makes its way to the bloodstream.
No matter what substance, supplement, or medication it is you’re talking about, all of these will lose some level of bioavailability unless it is injected directly into the blood intravenously. The reduction happens because some other system beyond the circulatory system works to metabolize what’s just been introduced. For example, if you swallow a CBD tincture, the CBD must first go through the digestive system before it enters the circulatory system. By the time the CBD gets to the blood, part of it may have already been metabolized.
Smoking CBD may deliver the cannabinoid to the circulatory system with greater levels of bioavailability. Of course, several things can affect bioavailability, such as how much is inhaled with each puff or how the CBD is smoked. Nevertheless, at least one study suggests smoking yields a more bioavailable form of CBD to the bloodstream. The cannabinoid is drawn into the lungs and then absorbed into the bloodstream without first-pass metabolization by any other system.
Smoking Can Deliver Effects More Quickly
If you’re looking to feel the effects of CBD faster, smoking may be one of the better routes of consumption. In the aforementioned study of cannabinoid pharmacokinetics, concentrations of cannabinoids were at a peak in the bloodstream within minutes, which means you should start to feel the effects rather quickly. Some studies indicate that inhaled CBD may start working in as little as 15 minutes, while something like an edible CBD product could potentially take up to two hours before you feel anything.
Smoking CBD Delivers a Full Spectrum Experience
Since hemp cigarettes are made with CBD in its more natural state, hemp cigarettes contain a full range of cannabis compounds, such as cannabinoids and terpenes, and will deliver a full spectrum experience.
When multiple cannabinoids and terpenes are consumed at once, they deliver a stronger, more impactful effect that is known as the Entourage Effect.
Hemp Cigarettes Offer a Nicotine-Free Smoking Alternative
Unlike traditional tobacco cigarettes, a hemp cigarette does not contain tobacco or nicotine. Instead, it contains hemp flower, which burns just as smoothly and allows users to enjoy a premium smoking experience without the harmful properties of tobacco or nicotine. If you’re tired of smoking tobacco, hemp smokes are a great, nicotine-free alternative.
Can Hemp Cigarettes Get You High?
This is one of the most common questions people have when it comes to trying hemp cigarettes for the first time.
Since hemp cigarettes do not contain THC–the cannabinoid primarily responsible for cannabis’ psychotropic properties–hemp cigarettes will not get you high.
However, it is important to only purchase from trustworthy and reputable retailers in order to avoid purchasing a poorly regulated “hemp cigarette” that contains more than 0.3% Δ9-THC content.
In addition, you should always check a product’s lab report in order to confirm that it contains less than 0.3% Δ9-THC and won’t get you high.
At Timbr Organics, all of our products are rigorously tested by a third-party facility, and lab results for each of our products can be easily accessed on our Lab Reports page.
Are Hemp Cigarettes Legal in the United States?
Under the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (or the “2o18 Farm Bill”) hemp and its derived products were federally legalized and officially de-classified as a controlled substance.
This was a huge moment for the cannabis industry; however, it did come with one caveat. In order to be classified as “hemp” or a “hemp-derived product,” the subject in question can contain no more than 0.3% Δ9-THC content.
Since hemp flower is, after all, a hemp-derived product that contains less than 0.3% Δ9-THC content, it is federally legal in the US.
Please be advised that certain states have specific laws that regulate cannabis, hemp, and/or smoking. Because of this, you are strongly advised to research the laws and regulations in your state or region in order to avoid complications.
Will Hemp Cigarettes Show Up on a Drug Test?
Like the previous question “Will Hemp Cigarettes Get You High?” this is also a very common question amongst those who are considering giving hemp cigarettes a try.
Drug tests are designed to detect illegal substances such as cocaine, methamphetamines, or Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). While hemp cigarettes do contain CBD and other cannabinoids, they do not contain THC; and therefore, should not cause you to fail a drug test.
However, it is very important to only purchase from only trustworthy and reputable sellers in order to avoid purchasing a poorly regulated product that contains more than 0.3% Δ9-THC.

Do Hemp Cigarettes Actually Work?
This is an interesting question that we are often asked by our customers. Our answer is that it depends on what type of effects you are expecting.
If you’re looking to feel intoxicated or “high”, hemp cigarettes “won’t work”; however, if you’re looking for an alternative to nicotine and/or tobacco, or are looking for a way to incorporate full spectrum hemp into your lifestyle, then yes hemp cigarettes work.
Please note that, like many products, the effects of hemp cigarettes can vary from person to person.
Hemp cigarettes are a great way to smoke hemp. They’re convenient, easy, and affordable. In addition, since the hemp is cured and placed in the cigarette without further alteration, our hemp cigarettes offer a full spectrum experience, which means you have a greater possibility of experiencing the entourage effect (all hemp constituents working together for a heightened effect). For that reason, some people see more benefits from smokable hemp than other types of hemp or CBD products.
Unlike traditional cigarettes, our hemp smokes are filled with hemp–not tobacco. As such, they do not contain nicotine and offer users a great way to enjoy smoking without the harmful side effects of tobacco and nicotine.

Before trying CBD or hemp flower products, it is strongly advised to conduct your own research and consult with a licensed doctor. While the World Health Organization considers cannabidiol to be “generally well tolerated with a good safely profile,” more research is needed to properly evaluate the safety and efficacy of CBD for general use.
